Chris Cardona was born and raised on Long Island. He is a film, television, and stage actor, director, as well as the head acting coach and the owner of The Actors Workshop. Chris began acting in High School, and attended The Long Island High School of Performing Arts. He continued his acting education in Manhattan, studying with the late Herbert Berghoff, Michael Becket and Bill Hickey at H.B. Studios. Chris obtained his B.F.A. in Drama and Theatre at Queens College, starring in, and directing numerous plays while in attendance there. He then continued to study in Manhattan at The Atlantic Theatre, among many others, and ultimately ended up studying for 5 years at the prestigious Barrow Group, in their "Master Class". This is where Chris feels he honed his skills the most, working with incredibly talented actors and teachers. He is known for the films: Worth, God's Pocket, Noah, The Bachelorette, A Most Violent Year, The Confession, Henry's Crime, Blindsided and Who Shot Pat? Chris' television credits include: The Blacklist, Hightown, The Money, The Good Cop, Red Oaks, , Blue Bloods, Law & Order SVU, Law & Order Criminal Intent, Orange is the New Black, Madam Secretary, Believe, Person of Interest, White Collar, Cop Files, and The Sopranos. New York Theatre credits include lead roles in: Requiem for a Heavyweight, Lobby Hero, A Streetcar Named Desire, Burn This, Total Abandon, Wait Until Dark, Match, and A Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. In addition to his acting, Chris has been boxing, kickboxing and training pro fighters for over 30 years. He is a fight scene choreographer and stunt coordinator, and is often called upon to do fight scenes in films, television and commercials. He has been the stunt double for Russell Crowe and Ray Winstone, among others. Most recently, Chris both directed, wrote the screenplay and starred in the new Pilot "MANHATTAN SOUTH" currently being pitched to NETFLIX. Chris lives in New York, has been married to his wife JoAnn Cardona since November 16, 1997. They have two teenage daughters, Courtney and Kayla.
